Bring your own billy - or use one of ours.
Only implements allowed are a dried tea bag, two matches, wood shavings and a sheet of newspaper.

For Anyone Talent Quest

Your choice - singing - music such as guitar or keyboard - or whatever other talent you may have.

Entry forms must be received by 5 pm on October 6 at Casino Village Reception Office. The Judges decision will be final and no correspondence will be entered into.


Here are the criteria for the creative sections
so you can plan your entry now.

For the guys Any wooden article - maximum size

Your choice of article - it can be an item which is useful or decorative. Judging will be on the creativity and quality of work presented. Select your timber from the wood heap on site or bring your own.

For the girls A kitchen mitt or other kitchen accessory

We always need something in the kitchen, whether it be an oven mitt, tea towel, hand towel or whatever. Judging will also be on the creativity and quality of work presented. Like the guys it can be decorative or practical.

There will be a selection of materials for you to use - or bring your own finished article with you. Please note there will be no sewing machines available on site - only implements for hand work.

For the kids A colouring in competition

Three sections - under 5 years, 5 to 9 years and 10 years and over.

Bring your entry with you or talk to your teachers and send in entries from all your class mates.

The drawing of Perky Platypus can be downloaded here for printing. You need Adobe Acrobat Reader to do this.

All entries must be received at Casino Village reception office by 12 noon on Thursday October 3 to enable us to display them prior to the start of the Festival.

Get thinking now and bring your creative piece with you.

Entries will be received up to 4 pm on Friday October 5. There is no entry fee.
2. Billy boiling competition will have heats on Friday afternoon and/or Saturday morning. Finals Sunday morning.

A panel of three people will judge each creative section on Saturday, October 6.

There will be an "Audience Choice" section for each of the three sections. Voting slips will be given to you on check in.

The judges decision and the independent count of the voting slips will both be final.

Presentations to all winners will be Sunday approximately 2 pm.
