Update #2 - 5-9-2007

KEA CAMPERS HAVE DONATED A MOTORHOME HOLIDAY TO A VALUE OF $1850.00 FOR THE GATE PRIZE AT THIS YEAR'S NATIONAL CAMP OVEN FESTIVAL.

ENTRY FORMS WILL BE ISSUED ON SITE AND MUST GO INTO THE BARREL AT THE RECEPTION OFFICE.

THE GATE PRIZE WILL BE DRAWN AT 2 PM ON SUNDAY OCTOBER 7. YOU DO NOT HAVE TO BE PRESENT TO WIN - JUST AS LONG AS YOU WERE ON SITE SOMETIME DURING THE WEEKEND.

update #1 - 30-8-2007

October 5-6-7 is another major event here at Casino Village.  It’s our second National Camp Oven Festival.  Already we have over 220 bookings – motorhomes, caravans, camper trailers and a few tents.  In addition, we have over 100 permanent residents on site who will also be attending.

The Camp Oven Festival will be open from 12 noon on Friday till late, Saturday 7 am till late and Sunday 7 am till 2 pm

The major events will run from Friday lunchtime through to Sunday afternoon, with the major day being Saturday.  The Village Green and surrounds will come alive with a full program of events ranging from bush poet’s breakfast to camp oven cooking, from seminars to craft classes.  There will be hands on classes for damper cooking – so here’s your chance to learn from experienced cooks!

Musical entertainment is being arranged and there are vacancies for some buskers. There are still some stallholders spots available and businesses with RV related product are also welcome to attend.  Please contact Chrissy Eustace on 02 6662 8803 for more details or visit the website.

There are other competitions for which there are no entries and prizes will be awarded

Parking costs $3 per day per car – no other entry fee.

Based on our first Festival, we are certain it will be well attended and a huge success.
